S. Llano State Park HQ & Residence

Junction, Texas

The South Llano State Park is approximately 2,600 acres located south of Junction, Texas. It was donated to Texas Parks and Wildlife Department in 1977, and opened to the public in 1990, receiving approximately 56,000 visitors each year. The park includes 18 miles of hiking/biking trails and 58 campsites, and offers outfitters and guide services, equipment rentals, and educational opportunities.

The scope and services for the New Headquarters Building and Buck Residence Renovation project includes the construction of a ± 3,000 GSF office building, associated hardscape and landscape areas, and renovation of the existing 1910 Buck Residence. The Buck Residence renovation will be converted for use as an interpretive center. Associated with this project is also the construction of a new parking lot being designed and constructed by TxDOT. The civil scope for this project includes site grading and drainage, utility design, ADA accessibility, septic design (by others), schematic design for parking lot, and construction administration. In addition, the location of the new headquarters will require a new booster pump station to be designed and constructed at the existing water treatment plant. Pump design, and water line design from the new pump to the headquarters building will be required for this project as well.
