Municipal Complex Drainage Study
Buda, Texas
GarzaEMC prepared a drainage analysis for the City of Buda Municipal Buildings Complex Project. The complex houses Buda’s city hall, public library and public safety offices, as well as the city emergency services offices. GarzaEMC provided a hydrologic and hydraulic report that was part of an overall feasibility study and determined a conservative peak flow rate for a flooding event utilizing previous hydrologic studies, empirical observations, and original hydrologic modeling. Using the peak flow, a hydraulic analysis of the conceptual channel section and culvert configuration was performed. GarzaEMC recommended an alternate proposed channel and culvert design in the event that the conceptual channel and culvert configuration were undersized to convey the 500-year peak flow.
