UHV Smith Hall

Smith Hall provides new student housing for the University Houston at Victoria. The new residence hall construction consists of a three-story, 272-bed, 82,000 GSF building located on a 2-acre lot. Utility design consisted of water, wastewater, storm sewer, and dry utility coordination. Site grading and drainage designs were also provided to alleviate storm water runoff from the site to residential areas to the east and redirect flows to the right of way. Public utility connections in the ROW were coordinated with the City of Victoria to obtain their approval as the AHJ in the city right of way. The site shares an access drive with the new student center to the south, which was coordinated with to allow access to the Smith Hall site for vehicular and emergency access.
