Clayton Tank Replacement

San Antonio, Texas

GarzaEMC performed improvements for an existing SAWS DSP Somerset Pumping Station, and the demolition of off-site Clayton elevated storage tank (EST) with related infrastructure. The Somerset pumping station project consisted of a new 1.5-million-gallon ground storage tank (GST), pressure reducing valve station, on-site tank overflow drainage system, new chlorine disinfection building and improvements, SCADA improvements, electrical upgrades, site security, public water dispenser, and yard piping. Site and facility improvements included demolition of a 300,000-gallon GST and metal building, site drainage, grading and lighting. The project was phased to allow the site to remain functional throughout the duration of construction.

The Clayton Elevated Tank Facility consisted of the demolition of a 100,000-gallon EST and structures, removal of all below grade piping, plugging of four groundwater wells, and site grading.
